Job Title: Production Operative Salary: £13.65 p/h Location: Lisburn Hours: 40 hours p/w About the Role This role involves working on factory assembly lines, which includes assembling, operating machinery, and inspecting products to ensure they comply with quality and safety standards. Responsibilities encompass feeding materials, packaging, and maintaining efficiency in fast-paced settings. This entry-level, hands-on position typically necessitates a strong attention to detail, teamwork, and physical stamina. Key Responsibilities • Operating Machinery: Running, monitoring, and maintaining production machinery to guarantee efficiency. • Assembly: Accurately assembling components or products in accordance with detailed instructions. • Quality Control: Inspecting finished goods for defects and confirming they meet established standards. • Material Handling: Feeding raw materials into production lines, as well as packing and labelling finished products. • Safety & Cleanliness: Strictly adhering to health and safety protocols, which includes maintaining clean workstations. • Reporting: Reporting equipment malfunctions to maintenance and documenting production downtime. Required Skills and Qualifications • Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detecting product faults. • Physical Fitness: Capability to stand for extended periods and lift materials. • Teamwork: Strong communication and collaborative abilities to work effectively with others. • Flexibility: Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments. • Experience: Previous factory experience is advantageous but not always necessary, as on-the-job training is provided. • Quality Control: Inspecting finished goods for defects and verifying they meet quality standards.
