Job Description:
CK Group are recruiting for an experienced Senior Sales Manager with a proven track record in life science sales and a background in protein assay instrumentation, to join a growing biotechnology company at their facilities located in Cambridge on a permanent basis. An exciting opportunity to join a growing sales team and lead their growth plans into Europe.

Our client is an expanding biotech focused on revolutionising protein research.
Location:
The position is based in Cambridge, UK, with 60% travel within the UK and Europe.
The Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding our client's European customer base, and establishing relationships with key stakeholders in the biopharma industry.
Additional responsibilities include:
* Developing European sales strategies focusing on new and existing customers to meet sales targets and KPIs
* Sales forecasting and reporting
* Representing the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and customer site visits to build brand awareness
* Engaging with key decision-makers in European biotech and biopharmaceutical companies, contract manufacturers, and research institutions
* Collaborating with the marketing team to align efforts and optimise sales opportunities
Candidate requirements:
* Degree in biology, biochemistry, life sciences, or equivalent
* At least 6 years of sales experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a senior role selling instrumentation (bioreactors) or related technologies (cell line development, process development) within biotech
* Strong knowledge of customer needs in protein assay instrumentation and lab automation in the bioprocessing industry
* A proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth
* Experience in a start-up environment is desirable
* Experience managing customer contacts using a CRM system
