Why Social Care? Why now?

We’ve got you covered — and we’ll provide all the training you need, completely free.
We are looking for Support Workers to work with us in the Shrewsbury area to provide 1 to 1 support to a male who is in his 40s living in his own home. He has an Acquired Brain Injury and deals with his mental health, so experience with either/or would be preferable. All training provided if you have no experience.
He loves the 70s and 80s and has a wonderful sense of humour. He has a lot of interests, one of them is 70s and 80s television, which includes Carry On films, Only Fools and Horses and Bread. He also likes to play Bingo and watches other game shows like Bullseye. The ability to hold a conversation about these is important to him so he would like someone to support him who has the same or similar interests.
Taking him out to a garden centre and in his wider community is something he thoroughly enjoys
Support hours are 8am to 3pm, 3pm to 10pm plus a sleep-in shift, from 10pm to 8am. The early and late shift would cover the sleep-in, so successful candidates must be able to cover this requirement to be considered for this role.
Your day might include:
* Helping adults with learning disabilities, autism, or physical disabilities live independently,
* Supporting with everyday tasks like shopping, cooking, or household jobs,
* Encouraging social activities, community involvement, and family connections,
* Providing respectful personal care where needed,
* Making every day enjoyable — for the people we support, and for you!
No care experience? That’s OK. If you’ve worked in retail, hospitality, customer service, or childcare, you already have great transferable skills — we’ll teach you the rest.
Perks:
* Early Pay – access wages before payday
* Paid enhanced DBS (so no upfront costs)
* Flexible hours to suit your lifestyle
* Paid annual leave (pro rata)
* Fully funded, award-winning training and qualifications
* Pension scheme and life assurance
* Shopping discounts via Blue Light Card and Bene£its website
* Recommend a Friend scheme – earn up to £500
* Free 24/7 wellbeing support, counselling, and advice
We’re an inclusive employer. Under the Disability Confident Scheme, if you have a disability and meet the basic role criteria, we’ll guarantee you an interview.
