Are you a passionate and motivated Dance Teacher with a strong commitment to inspiring young people through creative movement and performance? We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Dance Teacher to join a supportive and growing department, delivering high-quality Dance lessons across Key Stage 3 and GCSE.
This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is confident in curriculum delivery, enjoys performance-based learning, and is keen to contribute to the wider life of a school.
The Role
You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging Dance lessons across KS3 and GCSE, following the appropriate exam board specifications. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure students make strong progress in both practical and theoretical elements of Dance.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality Dance lessons across KS3 and GCSE
Teach both practical performance and theoretical components of GCSE Dance
Assess, track, and support student progress in line with curriculum requirements
Prepare students for assessments, coursework, and examinations
Support and contribute to school performances, showcases, and extracurricular activities
Maintain high standards of behaviour and student engagement
Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues
About You
Qualified Dance Teacher (QTS preferred)
Experience teaching Dance at KS3 and GCSE level
Strong subject knowledge and passion for Dance education
Creative, organised, and reliable
A positive team player who contributes to a supportive department culture
