What You'll Be Doing?
Painting & Decorating
Prepare surfaces and apply paint, wallpaper, varnish, or other finishes to walls, ceilings, woodwork, and other surfaces.
Perform touch-ups, repainting, and full redecoration projects in guest rooms, public areas, meeting rooms, and back-of-house spaces.
Maintain consistent visual standards across all properties, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines.
Inspect and repair decorative finishes regularly to maintain a high standard of presentation.
General Maintenance
Perform minor repair work including plumbing, carpentry, tiling, and basic electrical tasks.
Respond to maintenance requests from the front desk or management in a timely and professional manner.
Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) tasks according to schedules.
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and all local building codes.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
- Provide a professional robust maintenance and repair service at a 5* hotel level.
- Have excellent skills and knowledge of electrical, mechanical, carpentry, painting, and construction trades to undertake maintenance, repair and installation work.
- To maintain a high-quality safe environment for both guests & staff, contractors and visitors.
- Assist with other hotel staff and contractors to ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures.
- To assist, plan and organise operational maintenance for the hotel under guidance.
- Provide maintenance assistance across the hotel as required for business operation and as per requests from Senior Management.
- Taking responsibility for the hotel, guests, Heartists, Health and Safety, Fire Procedures and security.
- To assist with an in-depth preventative maintenance program. To review and perform statutory compliance tests and reporting.
- To be flexible to shift and rota requirements (8.00am-4.30pm or 9.00am – 5.30pm) 5 days over 7 (Saturday & Sunday working is required).
