Up to £30,000 per annum (Pro-rata for part-time - 4 days considered)
Monday to Friday, 9am–5:30pm | 37.5 hours per week
We’re on the lookout for a proactive HR Advisor to join our high-performing HR Operations team at Forge Holiday Group, home to brands like Sykes Holiday Cottages, Forest Holidays, UKcaravans4hire, and Bachcare (NZ).
You’ll play a key role in delivering a professional, people-first HR service across the group, partnering with managers to handle a wide range of employee relations matters and helping shape a positive, high-performing culture.
What You’ll Do:
️ Be a trusted advisor to managers on all things peoplem from probation to performance, absence to grievances
️ Handle complex employee relations issues with care, confidentiality, and compliance
️ Coach line managers on HR best practice, policies, and employment legislation
️ Support formal processes including investigations, hearings, and occupational health referrals
️ Help develop and update HR policies in line with legal changes and business needs
️ Collaborate across the People Team (L&D, Payroll, Recruitment, H&S) to deliver joined-up HR support
️ Contribute to HR reporting, data accuracy, and people metrics
️ Stay current on employment law and trends, bringing insights back to the team
️ Help build line manager capability through training and case coaching
What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience as an HR Advisor or HR Officer (ideally in a fast-paced, multi-site environment)
CIPD Level 3 (or working towards it)
Sound working knowledge of UK employment law
Confident managing ER cases like sickness, disciplinaries, and grievances
Able to communicate complex HR advice clearly to non-HR stakeholders
Organised, detail-focused, and comfortable working autonomously
Able to travel to our Chester HQ and across regional sites (own transport required)
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Nice To Have:
Experience with TUPE, restructures, and redundancy processes
Salary benchmarking or job evaluation exposure
Delivered line manager training or HR workshops
Experience in the holiday, travel, or hospitality sectors
