VANRATH are delighted to be assisting a fantastic FMCG (Food) based company with the recruitment of a Hygiene Manager. Fantastic company to work in.
This will be based in the Companys site in Newry - Permanent Role
Monday - Friday position - Afternoon Start Time
Salary:
£45,000 - £55,000 + Fantastic Benefits Package - Yearly Salary Reviews - Progression Opportunities
Main Duties
* Work collaboratively with the Hygiene team on daily operations.
* Notify the Head of Department about any staffing concerns or issues.
* Provide hands-on training and guidance for newly hired operatives.
* Carry out comprehensive facility checks as per daily, weekly, and monthly schedules, covering all relevant machinery, equipment, and other requested areas.
* Ensure adequate staffing is arranged to cover absences and holidays, and coordinate with the Quality Manager for approval of any new roles.
* Maintain appropriate stock levels of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
* Organise and oversee all hygiene and cleaning processes on site.
* Ensure hygiene protocols are consistently met and upheld.
* Communicate effectively with internal teams to ensure all operational needs are fulfilled.
* Oversee the hygiene team to guarantee top-tier visual and microbiological cleanliness is maintained throughout all site areas.
* Ensure thorough documentation of all cleaning procedures.
* Adhere to hygiene, food safety, quality, and health & safety standards, as well as company policies.
* Track and report KPI data on a monthly basis.
* Maintain a constant state of audit readiness across the site.
Skills
* Familiarity with HACCP principles
* Strong understanding of the product
* Ability to meet product specifications with accuracy and efficiency
