Job Opportunity
Working as our Workshop/Aftersales Technician your role will include:
* Inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing a wide variety of tools and domestic products, including
* Hand tools
* Power tools
* Electrical and battery-operated equipment
* Domestic products sold within our range and brand ranges
* Carrying out routine maintenance and safety checks on returned and serviced products.
* Working with warranty and outside warranty claims, providing accurate assessments and repair reports.
* Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment despite a busy, high-volume workshop.
* Keeping accurate records of repairs, parts used, and turnaround times.
* Liaising with the sales and customer service teams to provide technical support and aftersales assistance.
Essential Skills
Skills required
* Proven experience in repairing and servicing tools, power tools, or similar equipment.
* Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
* Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, and specifications.
* Good organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied workload in a busy environment.
* Practical problem-solving ability with a hands-on approach.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
* Team player with good communication skills.
* Experience in wholesale or retail tool businesses.
Desirable
* Knowledge of PAT testing and UK electrical safety standards.
* Qualifications in mechanical/electrical engineering or a related trade.
* Strong computer literacy.
