BOC Limited, a Linde company Laboratory Support Engineer Uttoxeter, United Kingdom | req22459 What You Will Enjoy Doing As part of this role, you will maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize state-of-the-art laboratory instruments to deliver exceptional performance and reliability Working as a key team member, you will develop and commission new analytical instruments and methods to expand EffecTech’s global measurement capabilities You will be responsible for resolving technical issues quickly by collaborating with scientific staff, senior management, and external partners to ensure minimal downtime As well as driving continuous improvement, you will lead upgrade, refurbishment, and maintenance programs to keep laboratory equipment at industry-leading standards Furthermore, you will manage laboratory support systems, including tools, consumables, and third-party vendor contracts, ensuring efficient and seamless operations As part of your role, you will contribute to measurement software development and ensure compliance with international quality standards for technical excellence What Makes You Great As part of this role, you will have an in-depth understanding of the service, maintenance, and operation of gas chromatographs and related detectors, with a solid grasp of other analytical measurement techniques You will hold a degree qualification in a science or engineering discipline, or demonstrate significant relevant experience in analytical science Working as an effective communicator, you will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise confidently with team members, clients, and other key stakeholders You will be responsible for applying strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently or as part of a team Lastly, as well as technical ability, you will demonstrate a proactive and flexible approach to problem-solving in order to deliver high-quality outcomes Why you will love working with us We are the largest provider of industrial, medical and special gases in the UK and Ireland.
