Are you an experienced vet looking to take the next step into clinical leadership? We’re excited to offer an opportunity for a passionate Clinical Lead Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join and guide our growing three-site practice nestled in the beautiful heart of Perthshire.

This is your chance to combine hands-on clinical excellence with genuine influence, helping to shape both patient outcomes and the future of our supportive, high-performing team.

About Us

Crieff & Fair City Vets is a well-established, community-focused practice operating across three locations:

*Crieff - A friendly, close-knit practice with a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

*Fair City - Spacious, modern facilities providing excellent privacy and client care.

*Auchterarder - Recently renovated with two large consultation rooms and scope for growing caseloads.

We are proud to offer advanced services including laparoscopy, ultrasonography, dental radiography (IM3), in-house laboratory testing, radiography, and laser therapy.

Our team is made up of six vets, five RVNs, three SVNs, and two ACAs, working closely alongside a brilliant reception team. We are committed to continuous professional development, encouraging team specialisation and supporting clinical advancement at every level.

What You’ll Be Doing

*Lead clinical standards and patient care across all three sites, ensuring veterinary excellence aligned with RCVS and IVC Evidensia best practice.

*Champion clinical governance - lead audits, establish clinical protocols, and promote continuous quality improvement.

*Mentor and support the development of the clinical team, encouraging CPD and providing guidance on complex cases.

*Collaborate with the Practice Director on strategy, operational efficiency, and performance management to drive clinical growth.

*Foster a positive, open, and supportive working environment where clinical excellence and teamwork are at the forefront.

*Act as a trusted clinical advisor to clients and colleagues, providing expert second opinions and leading on complex case management.

What We’re Looking For

*Experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon with strong surgical and medical skills.

*Proven leadership or mentoring experience, with a passion for developing people.

*Confident in clinical governance, including leading audits and implementing best practice.

*Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.

*Committed to delivering excellent patient care and enhancing client relationships.

*Vet GDP Advisor status or additional leadership/clinical qualifications (desirable, but not essential).

Why Join Us?

You’ll be supported in your leadership journey while enjoying a balanced rota, no out-of-hours, and the chance to work in a beautiful region with access to nature, history, and outdoor adventures.
