The Role
You will:
Deliver engaging and high-quality Spanish lessons across KS3, KS4, and KS5
Inspire pupils to develop a love for languages and achieve their full potential
Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities
Be part of a collaborative and inclusive department
Our MFL department has a growing uptake in Spanish at Key Stages 4 and 5, with pupils achieving strong results year on year. This is an exciting time to join a thriving team and help shape the future of language learning in our school.

A qualified teacher (QTS) with a relevant degree in Spanish or MFL

Huish Episcopi Academy is a large, non-selective, mixed secondary school for pupils aged 11-18 based in the heat of the Somerset Levels with a large catchment area. We are proud to be part of United Learning. At Huish, we offer the full national curriculum to all students with opportunities for our pupils to engage in a broad range of additional activities in sports, music, and the creative arts. It is our aim to develop rounded individuals who are not only academically successful, but who also have opportunities to develop their character education, such as leadership, teamwork, and communication. Our sixth form provides pupils with aspirational courses that allows them to pursue university places or employment after school. The work within school is underpinned by our values of Respect, Ambition and Resilience.
Systems within school focus on allowing disruption-free teaching with the notion of continuous improvement underpinning all we do. We work with colleagues to develop as reflective practitioners, utilising shared best practice and evidence-based teaching and learning initiatives. Our in-house CPD is extensive and high quality and compliments numerous external CPD opportunities within United Learning and through nationally recognised training and qualifications.
