About the Role
The RMS UK Head of Programme Management will focus on driving consistency, operational excellence, prioritisation and delivery performance across the portfolio.
This position reports directly to the RMS UK Group MD and will serve as a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
The Head of Programme Management will be the enterprise delivery systems owner, working alongside the Portfolio Leads and Business Management Lead in RMS UK to improve how programmes are run, resourced and governed across the organisation.
1. Lead the Programme Management function across RMS UK, establishing consistent delivery standards, resource prioritisation and operational excellence
2. Drive a high performing delivery culture that improves predictability, transparency and execution discipline
3. Define and embed consistent programme management methodologies and standards
4. Oversee Control Account Manager (CAM) performance and development, ensuring consistency and best practise across all CAMs within RMS UK
5. Establish best practice PM Governance and CAM reporting
6. Identify cross-portfolio delivery risks, conflicts and resource pressures
7. Drive consistency in programme reporting
8. Identify critical capability gaps and resource constraints across programmes
9. Work with Portfolio Leads to align PM demand and capacity
10. Programme Manager capability
11. Monitor compliance with corporate and local policies and procedures.
12. Continually investigate and introduce process improvement measures and present suggestions to RMS UK Group MD for consideration.
13. Interface with senior leadership team in UK and US
Required skills, qualifications and experience
14. A degree or equivalent in technical, business or programme management and/or relevant experience.
15. Excellent communicator with strong organisational, leadership, team building, planning, and time management skills
16. Demonstrated ability to organize and motivate individuals with diverse backgrounds while creating a working environment that fosters belonging
17. Exert influence in the development of overall objectives and long-range goals of the organisation
18. Excellent knowledge and practical application of programme management
19. Experience of planning, good organisational and time management skills, able to thrive in a high-pressure environment where understanding business needs and building lasting relationships are crucial
20. Excellent written and verbal communication skills at the executive level
21. Ability to organise and prioritise
