Corporate (Education) Associate / Senior Associate | 2-8 PQE | Nottingham or Leeds
An opportunity has arisen for a Corporate Associate or Senior Associate to join a market-leading Education practice at a highly regarded international firm, with flexibility to be based in Nottingham or Leeds.
This is a standout role within a team widely recognised as a leader in the education sector, advising on some of the most high-profile and innovative transactions across higher education, schools and further education. The team combines deep sector expertise with a genuinely international platform, offering exposure to both domestic and cross-border work.
The Role
* Domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions
* Joint ventures, partnerships and sector collaborations
* Corporate structuring and strategic projects within education institutions
* Supporting international clients entering the UK education market, and UK clients expanding overseas
* Working closely with colleagues across offices and practice areas on multi-jurisdictional matters
The work is varied and intellectually engaging, requiring a strong understanding of both corporate transactions and the evolving regulatory landscape within the education sector.
About You
Applications are invited from Corporate lawyers with 2-8 years' PQE who can demonstrate:
* Strong experience in M&A, joint ventures or corporate transactions
* A genuine interest in, or exposure to, the education sector (particularly higher education)
* The ability to manage multiple transactions and competing deadlines
* Excellent client relationship skills and a collaborative mindset
* A proactive approach to business development and team integration
