Biocheck Health Ltd. is an upcoming bilingual (English-Chinese) premium private health screening
centre located in the heart of London. We specialise in structured health assessments, preventive
medicine, and services tailored for international clients. As we prepare to launch, we are seeking a
dedicated Psychologist to integrate mental health support into our holistic wellness offerings,
enhancing the well-being of our diverse clientele.
Job Summary:
In this role, you will provide culturally sensitive psychological counselling and therapy services to
our international and Chinese-speaking clients, focusing on stress management, mental resilience,
and preventive mental health as part of our comprehensive health programs. You will contribute to
a supportive, innovative environment that values work-life balance and professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
·Deliver individual, couples, or group therapy sessions addressing issues such as anxiety,
work-life stress, cultural adaptation, and preventive mental health strategies.
·Integrate evidence-based approaches (e.g., CBT, mindfulness-based therapies) with cultural
considerations, particularly for Chinese and international clients.
·Maintain accurate client records in compliance with GDPR, BACP/HCPC ethical
standards, and our centre's protocols.
·Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (e.g., physicians, nutritionists) to provide holistic
health recommendations and referrals.
·Participate in health screening events, workshops, or online sessions to promote mental
wellness within our preventive medicine framework.
·Engage in community outreach and marketing efforts to attract international clients,
including bilingual promotions.
·Commit to continuous professional development (CPD), with at least 20 hours of training
annually.
Requirements:
Qualifications and Registration:
·Hold a recognised UK qualification in psychology or psychotherapy, such as BACP/UKCP
registration or HCPC registration as a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist (e.g., DClinPsy or
MSc in Counselling Psychology).
·Minimum 2-3 years of clinical experience, preferably in private practice, NHS, or
international health settings.
·Overseas qualifications must be assessed and recognised by HCPC/BPS.
Skills and Experience:·Fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese required) to serve bilingual clients
effectively.
·Strong understanding of mental health issues in international and Chinese communities,
including expatriate stress and cross-cultural challenges.
·Proficiency in electronic record-keeping systems.
·Excellent communication, empathy, and cultural competence skills; hold professional
indemnity insurance.
·Eligible for DBS check (or able to obtain one).
Desirable:
·Experience in preventive health or wellness programs.
·Involvement in international client services or organisations like Chinese Welfare Trust.
·Willingness to participate in equity or performance-based incentives.
