We are looking for a diligent Print and Audio planner buyer with at least one year of experience to work in the offline team. Clients include but are not limited to Boots, TUI and Costa. In this role you will be responsible for the entire planning and buying process, where you will make a recommendation to the client founded in insight and evidence, with audit guarantees in mind, before purchasing the inventory. Ideally we would like to see some form of knowledge across print and audio. This is to ensure you have a foundation to build on. Measures of success In three months, you would have: Learnt how to use all the key planning and buying tools. Built a strong working relationship with the other individuals within Planning and Investment. Built strong working relationships with all key stakeholders internally and externally – this includes key client contacts, Comms Planners and Investment Leads within our Business Unit. Gained a good understanding of the client businesses which you will oversee. Delivered plans and responses on time and without errors. Have a solid grasp of all the commercial aspects of your role (clients’ businesses and ours). In six months, you would have: Developed a full understanding of the marketplace. Understood EssenceMediacom’s planning philosophy. Demonstrated your ability to make recommendations founded in insight. In 12 months, you would have: Delivered demonstrable revenue growth or value saving within your of clients. Be able to lead recommendations with minimal input from your manager or AD. Some experience in TV buying Knowledge of the UK TV marketplace, along with other AV media such as Radio, Cinema and VOD Attention to detail is key Organised and be able to prioritise tasks Drive and enthusiasm to work on huge clients Knowledge of industry media buying tools (all media e.g. BARB, Media Ocean, Caria, Prisma and Jet) Pro-actively forge relationships with media owners Commercially astute and excellent negotiation skills Strong interpersonal skills and good communicator Collaborative and ability to build strong relationships Excellent numeracy skills Ensuring all billings are accurate and all financial queries and issues are resolved in a timely manner.
