About The Role
The Storyboard Supervisor will join our studio working on a new 3D production. The role is responsible for creatively directing the storyboards and ensuring the storytelling and characters transition from script to screen in a way that preserves the charm, tone and humour while staying within the scope and requirements of the show. The position is a short‑term, fixed‑term opportunity beginning mid‑June 2026 and ending October 2026. It may close early if applications are high and flexible, hybrid or remote working options are available. The successful candidate must be based in the UK, have the right to work in the UK, and be located regionally outside the M25 as required by the client.
Day To Day
* Managing a team of Storyboard Artists & Revisionists at both the Thumbnail and Clean‑Up stages.
* Working closely with Directors and Editors to maintain the show style across the storyboard team, both technically and narratively.
* Maintaining all activities within the scope and requirements.
* Establishing story style and tone through exploration of the first storyboard and guiding clean‑ups near the end of production.
* Briefing the Storyboard Artists alongside Directors and working with them on scripts.
* Producing thumbnails for each episode to ensure staging and story continuity.
* Adding notes or extra thumbnails to ensure they are clear and complete.
* Overseeing storyboard development based on thumbnail feedback.
* Reviewing and providing feedback to storyboard artists throughout the process.
* Ensuring that the first animatic review translates the essence of the script and operates on a technical level in Panelforge.
* Keeping Directors and the Production Manager informed of episode progress, flagging and troubleshooting any issues.
* Producing annotations for review stages to help clients understand notes for further editorial development.
* Collating client and director feedback, actioning and distributing it to the editor and storyboard artists for internal and client reviews.
About You
* Previous experience in a Storyboard Supervisor role (or similar).
* Demonstrable experience as a Storyboard Artist.
* Strong knowledge of layout, perspective and composition in a 3D environment.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Accomplished drawing skills.
* Excellent understanding of cinematography, staging and film language, narrative and scripts.
Bonus Points
* Experience in coaching or mentoring junior members of a production team.
