Solution Architect

We are seeking a Migration Solution Architect for a multi‑year programme aimed at migrating policies from legacy systems to a new policy administration system managed by a third‑party provider. The role requires oversight of the migration process and the ability to critically assess and validate the integration of the new system with internal corporate applications.
Key Responsibilities
* Own the end‑to‑end solution architecture for migration initiatives.
* Review, challenge, and assure solution designs proposed by the third‑party provider.
* Ensure designs align with internal enterprise architecture principles and technology roadmap.
* Produce and maintain internal architectural design documentation.
* Lead architectural due diligence across platforms, integrations, data flows, and non‑functional requirements.
Third‑Party Oversight
* Act as the primary architectural interface between the business and third party.
* Challenge third‑party proposals constructively and confidently.
* Validate that integration requirements back into internal systems (finance, digital, corporate platforms) are fully met.
Stakeholder Management
* Work closely with the Senior Architect and broader architecture community.
* Engage confidently with senior stakeholders, delivery leads, and third‑party architects.
Essential Experience & Background
* Proven experience as a Senior Solution Architect on complex transformation or migration programmes.
* Strong experience overseeing third‑party / BPO‑led solution designs.
* Deep understanding of systems integration architecture, particularly in hybrid or multi‑vendor environments.
* Confident communicator with the gravitas to challenge suppliers and influence senior stakeholders.
* Background in Insurance, particularly Life & Pensions.
* Experience with policy administration systems and large‑scale data or policy migrations.
* Familiarity with Agile delivery in large enterprise programmes.
