Job Description
As Solution Architect Technology & AI, you will be expected to work alongside the Sales teams and the Business Architects. As the foremost technical ambassador for IFS’ AI and technology platform within the UKI Market Unit. You will act as a critical bridge between innovation, customer value realization, and our customers’ IT Teams.
Your role is to explain the workings and value of the IFS Platform, Technology and AI offering to customers, partners, and colleagues and to advocate IFS’s commitment to delivering intelligent, data-driven solutions by leveraging artificial intelligence, machine learning, data platforms, automation, and other advanced technologies.
A key mission is to position IFS as a technology thought leader and trusted advisor, driving the adoption of IFS.ai and all AI-powered innovations across our six industry verticals. Your customer facing IFS presentations will ensure the understanding and delivery of the value and technical solution customers expect. Expectations for Solution Architect Technology & AI are as follows:
* Expert knowledge of specific IFS technologies, products, industries and services for your area’s expertise.
* Act as technical advisor for customers, helping them appreciate how IFS technology and AI capabilities solve business problems.
* Participate in internal and customer/prospect facing product presentations and demonstrations.
* Provide answers to technical questions in a Request for Information (RFI) or a Request for Proposal (RFP).
* Contribute with technical qualification of sales opportunities.
* Empower sales, pre-sales, and partner teams through training, collateral, and advisory support related to AI-driven use cases and technology adoption.
* Engage in customer interactions to define technology architecture and innovation roadmaps.
* Ensure the successful delivery of Proof of Value tied to the customers’ success criteria and business initiatives.
* Maintain a high level of knowledge of all products and services including roadmaps and regular liaison with Product Management.
* Use your knowledge of the major customers’ needs to provide and/or propose commercially viable product/solution improvement feedback of large and complex customer requirements – involving senior management where needed
* Work with enterprise level prospects and clients and be prepared to question them to cover a complete architecture, including integration of IFS into a wider environment
* Working with the sales organization to address technical needs for the customers
* Ensure discipline of excellence and passion to every customer engagement
* Assist at internal and customer facing events
* Always be considering ways to develop or improve key strategic initiatives to enhance our go to market.
Qualifications
* University education, equivalent professional qualifications or appropriate work history
* Strong background in artificial intelligence, data platforms, cloud-native architectures, and software engineering practices.
* Significant practical and management experience in the enterprise software industry, inside one of IFS’ 6 core industry verticals.
* Deep knowledge of solution development, presenting software applications and business process mapping at a senior level
* Ability to translate complex technology into business value propositions for executive and technical audiences alike.
* Strong verbal and written communication and planning skills
* Comfortable working across multiple functions and geographical locations in a deadline-driven environment.
* Fluency in English (verbal and written)
* A willingness to travel – nationally and internationally as needed
