Sales & Events Manager Location: Balfour Winery, The Winemakers Pub & The Tickled Trout Reporting to: Amie Rozan, Head of Events Working Pattern Core hours: 9:00am – 5:30pm Location: Primarily on-site across all three venues Flexibility: Evening, weekend, and varied hours will be required depending on events, weddings, and business needs The Opportunity This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, proactive Sales & Events Manager to join an award-winning hospitality business. The role plays a key part in driving revenue, managing the full lifecycle of events, and delivering exceptional guest experiences across three unique Kent venues: Balfour Winery, The Winemakers Pub, and The Tickled Trout. The Role As Sales & Events Manager, you will be responsible for driving corporate events, weddings, and private bookings while overseeing the complete event journey, from initial enquiry through to successful delivery. You will combine strong sales ability, excellent client relationship management, and detailed event planning to maximise revenue and ensure every event reflects Balfour’s hospitality standards. Key Responsibilities Sales & Revenue Drive corporate event sales across the venues Generate revenue through proactive outreach, inbound enquiry management, upselling, cross-selling, and seasonal promotions Manage and maintain a strong sales pipeline to maximise conversion and revenue growth Identify new business opportunities and continually seek ways to improve sales performance and processes Promote venue features, experiences, and additional services to maximise booking value Event Management Manage the full event lifecycle from first enquiry through to final execution Plan and deliver private events, corporate functions, and weddings with creativity, organisation, and attention to detail Oversee logistics including timelines, site visits, layouts, tastings, menus, schedules, and supplier coordination Ensure seamless handover to venue operations teams so each event runs smoothly Maintain high standards of service and ensure every venue is fully prepared for each function Champion the client experience from initial contact through to post-event follow-up Client & Relationship Management Manage client communication through the booking platform Sonas (currently being implemented) Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and industry partners to encourage repeat bookings and referrals Respond promptly and professionally to enquiries, host site visits, and prepare tailored proposals and contracts Manage reactive enquiries while nurturing long-term client relationships Gather feedback and insights to continually improve the guest experience Collaboration & Administration Work closely with Operations, Marketing, Finance, and venue FOH teams to coordinate promotions, contracts, billing, and reporting Maintain accurate CRM data and event administration, ensuring enquiries, contracts, function sheets, invoices, and documentation are up to date Ensure online listings, imagery, and venue descriptions are current and reflective of the brand Represent Balfour at exhibitions, showcases, and industry networking events Work with the finance team to manage invoices, deposits, and payment schedules Work closely with the FOH to allow them to deliver the events you plan Personal Attributes Proactive, personable self-starter with a strong focus on revenue growth Passionate about hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences Highly organised with strong attention to detail Confident communicator and relationship builder Solutions-focused with a continuous improvement mindset A team player who thrives in a fast-paced events environment Please email kerry@balfourhospitality.com with your CV and a cover letter if you are unable to apply through Indeed.
