Job Description Responsibilities You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. The role involves protecting Property & Premises by monitoring access, responding to alarms and CCTV, conducting patrols, managing traffic, maintaining equipment, and handling incidents. You must uphold Health & Safety by guiding staff and visitors, reporting hazards, keeping escape routes clear, monitoring First Aid supplies, and notifying the Operations Centre in emergencies. You will help Prevent Loss & Waste and Prevent & Deter Crime by reporting theft or damage, reducing resource waste, operating communication devices, carrying out stop‑and‑search, and accurately reporting incidents. Strong Customer Service is essential, including assisting staff and visitors, maintaining professionalism, and handling calls effectively. Duties also include completing booking‑on processes, paperwork, handovers, and tasks set by management, while covering both static sites and retail parks. You will safeguard the site, ensure the safety of employees, visitors, and contractors, conduct foot patrols, monitor access control, stay alert to suspicious activity, take charge during challenging situations, and maintain high security standards. Success requires competencies in managing and leading others, self‑management, decision making, communication, business awareness, operational excellence, strategic thinking, customer and sales development, and relationship building and networking.
