Are you confident in the classroom and passionate about supporting students in their learning journey? We are seeking a reliable and proactive Cover Supervisor to join our dedicated team.
About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining continuity of education during teacher absences. You will be expected to supervise whole classes across a range of subjects, following lesson plans provided by teaching staff. You also must be comfortable dealing with challenging behaviour and show examples where you have took control of a classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver pre-prepared lessons across various subjects and year groups.
Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive, safe learning environment.
Follow the school's policies and procedures consistently.
Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding student performance and behaviour.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Confidence and presence in the classroom.
The ability to follow lesson plans and manage learning independently.
Experience working with young people, particularly in a secondary school setting.
A calm and consistent approach to managing challenging behaviour.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
This role is ideal for someone looking to gain valuable classroom experience or those with a background in education, youth work, or behaviour support.
