Offer description

Reclaim Fund Ltd (RFL) operates the UK’s Dormant Assets Scheme, a voluntary initiative that enables financial institutions to channel dormant assets for public good. Since our launch in 2011, more than 50 businesses have chosen to participate – unlocking over £1 billion for transformational social and environmental initiatives across the UK.

As an arm’s-length body of HM Treasury and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), RFL works across the public and private sectors. Since 2022, RFL has been working in close partnership with government and industry stakeholders to expand the Dormant Assets Scheme to include a wider range of dormant assets. As a result, RFL has embarked on a period of significant expansion and innovation.

To support our growth, we are seeking a Chief of Staff to act as trusted support to our Chair and CEO, as well as leading on RFL’s internal communications.

Your Opportunity as our Chief of Staff

As our Chief of Staff you will amplify the effectiveness of RFL’s senior leaders, ensuring that RFL remains focused, aligned and delivering against its priorities effectively. You will deliver against three broad priorities: (a) acting as a key pillar of support to the Chair and CEO, collaborating with central government departments to ensure RFL’s continued track record as a well-governed arm’s-length body; (b) delivering ad hoc projects, such as special events; and (c) leading internal communications across the RFL team.

This is a unique opportunity to join a small, high-performing team at a pivotal moment in our journey, contributing to the successful future of our purpose-driven organisation, delivering responsible financial and social impact.

Our Chief of Staff will be a connector, problem solver and outstanding communicator across RFL, driving improvements in our governance and collaboration. Interpreting insights and data to enhance decision-making and organisational impact will be critical facets of the role.

This role requires a highly capable relationship builder and communicator, with strong strategic acumen, sound judgement, and the ability to navigate complexity in a dynamic environment.

Your Responsibilities as our Chief of Staff

Your core remit will be to:

* Act as a key pillar of support to the Chair and CEO, ensuring continued strong governance controls and oversight. This will include acting as RFL’s working-level liaison with UK Government Investments, managing Director (re)appointment processes and information commissions, and providing briefings for regular C-suite meetings, events, and speaking opportunities.
* Deliver ad hoc special projects. These could vary from special events to supporting potential future secondary legislation to possible international engagement.
* Drive tangible improvements in RFL’s internal communications, owning and proactively translating strategy into actionable plans and clear priorities, ensuring alignment across all individuals.

Across these three areas, you will be expected to:

* Identify and anticipate relevant risks, challenges, and opportunities, providing proactive solutions.
* Prepare, review and deliver executive communications to the highest professional standard.
* Foster collaboration and communication across internal and external stakeholders, ensuring trust and collaboration.
* Proactively manage and align stakeholder relationships to enable smooth delivery of high-quality outputs.
