A friendly and inclusive school nursery in Gosforth is seeking a caring and proactive EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their team and support the learning and development of children in the early years foundation stage. Location: Gosforth Start Date: ASAP Position: Full-time (long-term cover) – Early Years Teaching Assistant About the Role: Support children aged 3–5 years in all areas of the EYFS curriculum. Work closely with the class teacher and nursery team to deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate activities. Encourage children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development through play-based learning. Provide individual and small-group support to promote confidence, curiosity, and independence. Help maintain a safe, caring, and stimulating learning environment where every child can thrive. What We’re Looking For: A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or Supporting Teaching and Learning. Experience working with young children in a school or nursery setting. A warm, patient, and positive approach to supporting early learning. Strong communication and teamwork skills. A genuine passion for helping children achieve their early milestones and develop a love for learning.
