Overview
An exciting opportunity has become available at a lower-mid-market PE firm based in the South West and the Thames Valley. The role is a newly created position in the Portfolio Management function, where they manage clients who need additional advice and support. The Portfolio Director manages between 4 and 8 portfolio clients, with a mandate to help them realign their business and strategy to increase profits and explore a sale or exit.
Responsibilities
* Manage a portfolio of 4–8 client companies, providing strategic guidance to realign business plans and improve profitability.
* Collaborate with founders to make informed, short-, medium-, and long-term decisions that support value creation and potential exits.
* Work closely with the Portfolio Director and PE firm stakeholders to drive actionable recommendations and monitor progress.
Qualifications
* 5–10 years of experience in Portfolio Management for a PE firm in the UK.
* Experience in corporate finance within an advisory environment; prior portfolio experience at a PE firm is preferred.
* Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work with founders and management teams.
Location
The role is preferred to be based in London, but candidates in Birmingham or London who can commute will be considered.
Compensation
The role comes with a generous basic salary, bonus, and carry.
