About the role:
We seek individuals with a strong consultancy background, experienced in working across both public and private sectors. Candidates should be able to make informed decisions, mentor others, lead clients effectively, and represent our consultancy diplomatically.
Occasionally, support for internal business needs may be required based on your skills and alignment with the CX Design team's principles. We value team members who contribute to our growth and stay aligned with industry trends.
Ideal candidates are researchers capable of guiding and leading digital teams through research and design processes. You should be confident in decision-making, mentoring, and client leadership, all while maintaining a diplomatic approach.
Candidates should be eligible for security clearance at the BPSS level.
Responsibilities:
1. Produce customer mapping processes and solution documentation.
2. Conduct research and empathy workshops with stakeholders and internal teams.
3. Manage stakeholder relationships.
4. Organize and facilitate client workshops, user interviews, and surveys.
5. Conduct both direct and indirect research.
6. Present research findings in sessions with teams and clients.
7. Support Agile methodologies by categorizing findings into Quantitative and Qualitative research.
8. Assist in assumption mapping and hypothesis sessions to understand user mental models and perform card sorting.
9. Collaborate across teams at all touchpoints.
10. Present Personas or User Groups, highlighting needs, pain points, and potential solutions.
11. Run UAT sessions; experience with testing labs is a plus.
Experience and Skills:
1. Lead research processes with project teams, Product Owners, and stakeholders; work closely with BAs and designers.
2. Confident in stakeholder and Product Owner interactions.
3. Conduct interviews with users and provide regular feedback to the project team.
4. Develop hypothesis statements and perform assumption mapping before research.
5. Use mental models and Personas to understand requirements; identify KPIs and CSFs through user cases.
6. Stay updated on industry tech and research trends.
7. Lead discovery through to final delivery.
8. Justify decisions with research evidence, prototypes, and stakeholder engagement.
9. Make independent decisions and guide clients appropriately.
10. Work collaboratively in agile environments while balancing independent tasks.
11. Recognize when to transition from research to design and user story development.
12. Implement frameworks and methods aligned with Agile delivery.
13. Apply WCAG and A11Y accessibility standards.
14. Organize and chair UAT workshops, setting clear tasks for attendees.
Nice-to-have skills and experience:
1. Experience with AR/VR solutions.
2. Innovation in AI-related design and research.
3. Knowledge of AI prompting tools for research.
4. Familiarity with GDS toolkit and service standards.
