Hours are 36 hours per week Monday to Friday 38 weeks per year The hourly rate for this post starts at: £14,09 increasing yearly Key Activities Responsible for the safe transportation of vulnerable children, special needs service users from place of residence to Support centres and Schools within West Lothian Completing vehicle safety checks logging and reporting faults to management team Following safe working practices in relation to your role. Assisting service users in boarding and embarking safely Conversant with correct use of all specialist equipment on the vehicle including tail-lifts/ramps/clamps/restraints/harnesses- training provided. Assisting Passenger Escort in securing passengers using seatbelts and restraining systems Working alongside the Passenger Escort to ensure the needs of the service users are met Any other reasonable duty required by the service Essential Skills: Current driving license with minimum Cat D1 entitlement, Full PCV preferred Up to date Driver CPC Drivers Digital Tachograph Card. You will have excellent communication skills and experience of working with children and adults with special needs would be an advantage.
