Job Title: Specialist Physiotherapist
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Physiotherapist to work within our intermediate care team based at Newton Hospital and Duffy Suite, St Helens Hospital, for 22.5 hours per week.
You will be responsible for managing a caseload of patients with various medical conditions, planning and completing assessments and interventions to promote independence and recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintain a broad knowledge of medical conditions with proven clinical skills applicable to intermediate care.
2. Deliver evidence-based practice using rehabilitative and compensatory approaches.
3. Carry out complex holistic assessments.
4. Make decisions based on sound clinical reasoning.
5. Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills.
6. Plan discharges effectively, facilitating patient transfer to the most appropriate environment.
7. Be flexible and willing to work across Newton Hospital and Duffy Suite, supporting service demand on short notice.
8. Adapt to changing working patterns within a 7-day rota.
