Summary
We are seeking a dedicated General Assistant to join our team at Buckingham Care Home located in Penistone, Nr Barnsley. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting our residents and ensuring their comfort and well-being, contributing to our mission of providing exceptional care.
Responsibilities
* Assist residents with daily activities and personal care needs.
* Maintain a clean and organised environment throughout the care home.
* Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to ensure high-quality service.
* Support recreational activities and engage residents in social interactions.
* Help with meal preparation and serving as needed.
* Monitor resident well-being and report any concerns to senior staff.
* Assist with administrative tasks as required.
* Uphold the values of dignity and respect in all interactions.
* Flexibility working morning, afternoon and evening shifts.
Qualifications
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Proficiency in English; multilingual abilities are a plus.
* Excellent time management and organizational skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
* Previous experience in a care setting is preferred but not essential.
* Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
