Job Summary
To lead and manage all catering services across Merseycare NHS Foundation Trust. The post holder will be responsible for governance, strategy, food safety, quality, and operational management of all catering services. To drive the strategic direction and development of Trust catering services in line with care standards.
Main Duties of the Job
1. To lead and manage all catering services across Merseycare NHS Foundation Trust.
2. The post holder will be responsible for governance, strategy, food safety, quality, and operational management of all catering services.
3. To drive the strategic direction and development of Trust catering services in line with care standards.
4. The post holder will be part of the senior facilities management team and involved in managing catering functions across the entire organization.
5. Manage services with a high degree of professional expertise, including front-of-house services and 24-hour food access, in line with the Trust's strategic plan.
6. Act as the Trust Catering Specialist and ambassador for catering.
7. Ensure services are delivered within budget and in compliance with government initiatives, Trust objectives, and financial targets.

Person Specification - Qualifications
Essential
* Degree or equivalent experience
* Higher diploma in catering management or equivalent
* Level 3 Certificate in Food Safety
* Level 2 Award in identifying and controlling allergy risks
* Level 3 HACCP in catering and retail
Desirable
* Level 4 Certificate in Food Safety
* Management of people qualification
* Experience in a mental health setting
