High-tech defence electronics SME require a Planning Manager to own, develop and implement SIOP and master scheduling processes and frameworks. Applicants need strategic planning experience across 3-5 year horizons within technical manufacturing or engineering environments and have deep expertise in master production planning and SIOP. The Planning Manager will report to the Operations Director and collaborate closely with supply chain, operations, programme management, engineering, production and subcontract manufacturing partners to drive SIOP and master scheduling activities. The manufacturing taking place in Basingstoke is a high product-mix, and low batch manufacturing volumes around 10-40 units per month. The Planning Manager will take an "Above The Line" approach to planning, looking at 3-5 year strategies, make vs. buy, and optimising inventory levels. Deputising for the Operations Director on occasions, the Planning Manager should posses leadership qualities, charism and gravitas.
