Role: Deep Hole Borer
Role Requirements Sheffield Machine Shop produces machined components for the oil and gas industry. The machine shop is a mixture of CNC and manual lathes, deep hole borers and milling machines.
Duties and Responsibilities
● Interpret engineering drawings to customer specifications in order to produce components to the correct standards within the estimated production times.
● Select machines and appropriate tools required to manufacture components from engineering drawings, whilst working within company Quality procedures.
● Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained to ensure a safe and clean working environment
Accountabilities and Performance Measures
● To machine components to customer requirements ensuring minimum levels of machining on parts received by customers
Job Requirements / Qualifications
● 2 Years machining experience with the oil and gas industry.
● Experience of machining high grade material.
● Experience of using deep hole borers.
● Working knowledge of relevant tooling applications and machine tool capability including tool feed and speeds required to achieve efficient cycle times
* Based - Sheffield
* Salary Range - £36,000 - £36,500
* Hours Per Week - 40 hours
* Days Shifts Shift Pattern - Monday to Friday 6am to 2.30pm.
* Night Shift Pattern - Monday to Thursday 6pm to 4am.
