An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a specialist automotive modification and accessory installation environment. This Vehicle Technician position offers varied, hands‑on work across multiple vehicle types, focusing on high‑quality aftermarket installations, diagnostics and mechanical upgrades.
This Vehicle Technician role would suit someone with strong mechanical and electrical skills who enjoys problem‑solving, takes pride in workmanship and thrives within a collaborative workshop team.
Role and Responsibilities: Vehicle Technician
* Install a wide range of aftermarket vehicle accessories including towbars, air assist and suspension systems, parking sensors, audio upgrades, vehicle security systems and auxiliary lighting
* Diagnose and fault‑finding electrical and mechanical issues using appropriate diagnostic software and workshop equipment
* Interpret wiring diagrams, schematics and manufacturer instructions to ensure accurate and safe installations
* Conduct thorough inspections and testing to ensure all work is roadworthy and compliant with required standards
* Maintain accurate service and installation records using workshop management systems
* Support workshop operations, maintain cleanliness and always adhere to health and safety standards
* Liaise with management regarding parts, consumables and tooling requirements
* Provide professional customer interaction when required, explaining work completed and technical details clearly
Requirements: Vehicle Technician
* Proven experience working as a Vehicle Technician within a dealership, workshop or vehicle fitting environment
* Strong mechanical aptitude with good working knowledge of vehicle electrical systems
* Experience using diagnostic equipment and fault‑finding electrics
* Experience fitting towbars, wiring harnesses, air assist or suspension systems (or willingness to develop these skills)
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team
* Proficiency in the use of hand tools, power tools and vehicle lifting equipment
* Full UK driving licence
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality workmanship
