The Professional Nurse Advocate (PNA) is an exciting opportunity for a nurse passionate about facilitating supervision, training, and supporting the health and well-being of their nursing colleagues. The aim is for every community nurse/district nurse covering Gwynedd and Anglesey's community nursing services to have access to support from a PNA, achieved through a continuous quality improvement approach.
The post holder will work alongside district nursing matrons and team leaders to lead the service's strategic directives regarding the PNA role. This includes leading and coordinating the activities of the PNA role through facilitation of restorative clinical supervision for community nurses. Additionally, the post holder will deliver the organisation's clinical supervision training for staff.
You will serve as a role model and ambassador to promote well-being and empowerment among nursing staff, supporting them to deliver high-quality patient care and participate in quality improvement initiatives. You will inspire a culture of improved patient safety and experience outcomes for both staff and service users.
You will be a visible leader, providing assurance to community matrons and heads of nursing that staff support, supervision, and restorative clinical supervision are being effectively delivered across community nursing services.
Main duties of the job
You will practice as a PNA by facilitating Restorative Clinical Supervision with nurses, supporting them to identify personal actions for quality improvement, career development, and understanding resilience to support others' development.
The post holder will develop and foster effective working relationships across various teams, services, and agencies, ensuring that the Health Board's values, policies, and procedures are upheld and represented at all times.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally encouraged to apply.

Qualifications and/or Knowledge
* Registered Nurse First Level
* Postgraduate study evidence
* Postgraduate Diploma in relevant nursing/health subject
* Relevant nursing/health degree or equivalent
* Professional Nurse Advocate qualification or willingness to work towards it
* Experience in student support and preceptorship, including practice assessor and supervisor training
* Continuing professional development and revalidation evidence
* Masters level degree or equivalent experience
* Experience in an integrated health community setting

Salary: £46,840 to £53,602 per annum, pro-rata.
