About the Role
We are seeking an exceptional Lead Cyber Security Consultant to join a growing consultancy team and provide expert technical leadership to a high‑profile UK organisation. Acting as a trusted technical authority, you’ll guide a team of security consultants and architects while overseeing the delivery of complex, end‑to‑end security work packages across cloud, application, and emerging technology environments.
You will work directly with stakeholders across all levels from Exec to engineering teams, helping them understand evolving risks, enhance their security posture, and make informed, strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead, mentor, and develop a team of technical security consultants and architects.
* Design and deliver technical security work packages in support of wider organisational security strategies.
* Advise on secure adoption of emerging technologies including AI models, data pipelines, automation, and cloud‑native architectures.
* Translate complex cyber risks into clear, actionable insights for non‑technical audiences.
* Identify and mitigate AI‑specific threats such as model abuse, data leakage, prompt injection, bias, and automation risks.
* Act as the organisation’s technical security subject‑matter expert.
* Lead and oversee technical assurance activities, including IT Health Checks and security reviews.
* Champion shift‑left security and secure‑by‑design principles across CI/CD, cloud, and AI development environments.
* Maintain and report security metrics, enhancing organisational visibility of cyber.
* Contribute to the creation and operation of security standards, risk registers, governance structures, and assurance frameworks.
Key Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will bring a broad, hands‑on cyber security background, strong cloud (AWS) technical expertise, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
* Security architecture expertise
* Strong AWS and cloud‑native security experience
* CI/CD security and modern DevSecOps practices
* Comprehensive risk management capability
* Identity & Access Management (IAM)
* MXDR/SOC operations understanding
* Strong communication and presentation skills
* Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM)
Preferred / Beneficial
* Hands‑on experience with Windows and Linux
* Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
* Experience with AI security and governance frameworks
* Exposure to Azure and GCP environments
* Modern DevOps and automation practices
* People leadership or line‑management experience
