Employment Solicitor
Location: Oxfordshire (Hybrid Working Available)
Salary: £45,000 – £60,000 DOE + Bonus + Excellent Benefits
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
A newly Qualified Solicitor or Junior Employment Lawyer seeking to develop expertise across both contentious and non-contentious employment law, while gaining exposure to commercial contracts and business advisory work.
The Opportunity
You will manage a varied caseload of employment matters for a diverse client base including SMEs, owner-managed businesses, charities and commercial organisations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Advising employers and employees on a wide range of employment law matters
- Drafting and reviewing contracts of employment, consultancy agreements, service agreements and staff handbooks
- Advising on disciplinary, grievance, performance management, dismissal and redundancy processes
- Preparing and negotiating settlement agreements
- Assisting with Employment Tribunal claims and dispute resolution
- Supporting corporate transactions with employment law due diligence and TUPE advice
- Drafting and advising on commercial contracts, terms and conditions, supplier agreements and business contracts
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships through practical and commercially focused advice
About You
We are keen to hear from candidates who have:
- Qualified as a Solicitor in England & Wales
- Between NQ and 3 years' PQE in Employment Law
- Experience gained through a training seat or post-qualification employment law role
- Strong drafting, negotiation and client management skills
- A commercial and solutions-focused approach to legal advice
- An interest in developing expertise in commercial contracts and business advisory work
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
