We are looking for a detail-oriented and culturally aware content editor to support a weekly U.S.-based podcast.
Our podcast focuses on relationships, dating, culture, gender dynamics, and social conversations within the United States. The audience is predominantly African American, ages 25–49. Conversations often include references to:

•Relationship discourse
This role requires more than just technical editing skills. You must be able to:
•Understand spoken English fluently
•Follow nuanced conversations

•Identify strong hook points within discussions
•Use AI effectively without losing cultural or conversational context

Core Responsibilities
1. Metadata Creation (Using AI + Transcripts)
•Create optimized metadata for 5 main segments
•Modify metadata for 5–6 short reels
•Use AI tools (ChatGPT or similar) efficiently
•Identify compelling hooks that resonate with a U.S. audience
•Ensure titles and descriptions reflect tone and conversation accurately
You must be able to interpret transcripts and understand what will engage the target audience.

2. Thumbnails (Template-Based)
•Create 5 thumbnails using a provided Canva template
•Replicate style consistently
•Light design adjustments only (not complex design work)
•Must understand how to visually emphasize strong talking points

3. Sub-Segment Editing ("Regular Long" Cuts)
•Identify clean start and end points within segments
•Break longer segments into 10–12 clips under 10 minutes
•Deliver:
•16:9 versions
•9:16 reformatted versions
•Add simple black translucent text box with white hook text to vertical clips
This requires good judgment about what moments will perform well.

•Identify 8 engaging 90-second to 3-minute clips

These should highlight strong opinions, humor, or provocative takes from hosts.
