Pay starts from £12.45 per hour; this increases to £13.66 for stores inside the M25. For all hours worked between midnight and 6am there is an additional night premium of £2.35 per hour. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
It is Tesco policy to offer new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week. If you would prefer to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12) there are opportunities for this as well.
The availability windows indicate the periods of time during the week we would like you to be available to work. We will schedule your contracted hours within these times and you will receive 3 weeks’ notice of your shifts. We are happy to support flexibility; if your available times are close to but not exactly the advertised times, we would still love to hear from you.

Responsibilities
* Know your customers and serve them with passion and pride, delivering great natural service.
* Be knowledgeable about products and services in the store.
* Work across service, picking and replenishment areas as required.
* Apply training to work safely, effectively and to serve customers brilliantly.
* Make decisions that are right for customers and deliver store routines accordingly.
* Participate in seasonal, community and charity events, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
* Understand store performance and the part you play in driving service, sales, reducing waste and delivering profit.
* Handle products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in good condition.
* Model Tesco values, make everyone feel welcome, and follow policies.
* Occasionally you may be required to accept deliveries into the store.
