IMMEDIATE MANAGER: CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
JOB PURPOSE
The role is based at MFG’s large, open-plan Head Office in central St Albans, which houses approximately staff. You will principally support the Chief Executive, the Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Financial Officer—professionally and personally. Additionally, you will offer support to the Managing Director and other senior staff as required, in a fast-paced, professional, and friendly environment.
Proven experience working with and liaising with senior professionals, both internally and externally, is essential. You must display confidence and represent the brand appropriately in all communications. Excellent written and spoken English skills are required, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail, along with a professional telephone manner. You should be comfortable multitasking and prioritising your workload. Confidentiality is paramount.
The role will also include managing the Office Manager/Executive Assistant.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Diary management – organise meetings in person and virtually (internally and externally) and arrange meeting rooms accordingly.
2. Collate Board Packs and other presentations.
3. Organise travel and transport itineraries for both personal and work-related trips.
4. Arrange company events (e.g., summer BBQ, Christmas party).
5. Coordinate the signature of important documents and ensure their safe return to relevant parties.
6. Maintain company records.
7. Implement new systems as required.
8. Process expenses for the senior team.
9. Arrange internal working lunches.
10. Manage the Office Manager/Executive Assistant to ensure smooth office operations.
11. Work alongside the HR department and provide administrative support as needed.
12. Communicate internal messages within the business.
13. Handle various ad-hoc tasks and projects to support the CEO, COO, and CFO in their personal and professional lives.
14. Participate in the ESG Committee and assist in organising charity fundraising events.
15. Arrange site visit schedules for the MD and coordinate with the operations team.
16. Type, compile, and prepare reports, presentations, and correspondence.
17. Act as gatekeeper for the senior team and liaise with various stakeholders on their behalf.
18. Review vendor bills on behalf of the senior team.
Candidates should hold a full and clean manual driving license. While driving is not a significant part of the role, there may be occasions when driving company cars is required.
