The Role
As a Health & Safety and Environmental Coordinator, you will ensure that all HSE processes are carried out in accordance with Norton standards.
Responsibilities
* Participate actively in the HSE team to achieve company objectives.
* Collect and analyze weekly and monthly KPI data.
* Maintain comprehensive and accurate HSE documentation.
* Conduct site safety audits, risk assessments, COSHH, PUWER assessments, and safety inspections.
* Assist managers and supervisors in investigating and reporting serious incidents.
* Intervene to address non-compliance issues proactively.
* Ensure timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions from audits.
* Contribute to the development of the HSE Management system, including templates and procedures.
* Communicate HSE documentation effectively via SharePoint and online systems.
* Support data collection for monthly reports.
* Log toolbox talks, observation cards, inspections, and RAMS.
Personal Qualifications
* Competent, organized, disciplined, and capable of working in a manufacturing/engineering environment.
* Ability to follow procedures and use initiative to support management.
* Formal training in NEBOSH/IOSH; exposure to BS EN ISO 14001 and ISO45001 is desirable.
* Knowledge of HSE and environmental legislation.
* Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
