Our client is a well-established fabrication, welding, and precision engineering group specialising in the Water Industry. Trading for more than 25 years with over 30 staff, their Gloucestershire site is looking for a Project Manager to join their team.
Responsibilities:
Estimating – To receive tenders and enquiries from new/existing customers. Break down the enquiries and send out to suppliers for competitive tender. log information onto the server and quote the required work and send on, chase up quotes on a monthly basis.
Purchasing – To order materials from suppliers and schedule deliveries to fit around workshop capacity and expected delivery dates.
Project Management – End to end management of new and upcoming projects. Day to day operations with Dehav site teams, customer liaison and point of contact. Hitting deadlines & project deliverables on time. (General PM duties) Contracts can vary from 10k-1m.
Invoicing – Most projects are for Tier 1 contractors which we must submit monthly application, you will need to keep track of spending and labour for the month be able to apply for time and materials for the month. This is all done on a spread sheet. Applications are then sent to Tier 1 QS and our accounts will raise an invoice. Monthly turn over for our office is then logged.
Quality Documentation – Certain jobs will require weld Maps on pipework or QA documentation to prove our process, NDT & Xray, pressure testing. you will need experience on this.
Monitoring Hired Equipment – Monthly log of hired in plant, check what is needed and what can be off hired, unfortunately site guys are not the best at doing this. We must keep on top of it.
IT/Computer skills – A good knowledge of Microsoft office (standard programmes) Microsoft project CAD & 3D (Viewer Only)
Requirements:
Experience working with pipework in the water industry (Required)
Happy to travel site to site (Van provided)
Good IT knowledge and skills
