Job Description Embedded MRO New Facilities & Equipment Manufacturing/Capability Acquisition Engineering Lead Hybrid Two - Three year International Assignment in Istanbul Why Rolls-Royce? A unique opportunity has arisen to bring Rolls-Royce MRO engineering best practice to our newest Approved Maintenance Centre in Istanbul. Turkish Technic will be inducting their first Trent engine in December 2027, and Rolls-Royce is committed to bringing our engineering knowledge and MRO experience to support Turkish Technic's journey. As the Local or Embedded Facilities & Equipment Engineering Lead you will be responsible for providing onsite technical support and guidance for the design, creation and equipping of a world class Engine Overhaul Facility in line with the company strategy. You will act as a Rolls-Royce Engineering liaison working closely with your team leader and assigned Project Manager (Engineering Subject Matter Experts or owners in addition to other Works Stream lead's) to ensure that the Turkish Technic correctly embed suitable infrastructure to support and maintain the MRO Engineering requirements contained within the Rolls-Royce Care Engine Manuals, therefore ensuring the facility integrates and deploys controlled processes and/or methods, which are fully capable of meeting and maintaining airworthiness authorities & RR requirements for safety, quality, cost, delivery rate & Leadtime (SQCD). What you will be doing: Responsible for delivering technical support to ensure Turkish Technic are fully capable of overhauling TRENT XWB and TRENT 7000 engine types in line with company strategy. Liaise with Turkish Technic's Project management, Facilities Design & Infrastructure, & Engineering teams. Provide local technical support and coaching using experience, on Rolls-Royce Care, PLM (Dimensional and weight data of our product) and be the Engineering link into the appropriate departs within the Civil Large Engine Business at Rolls-Royce. Provide coaching to Turkish Technic on the use of the RRPS FD&L model along with the appropriate coloured books. Act as an agreed Sponsor for Turkish Technics FD&L model ensuring that the criteria and suitable evidence is provided and reporting this back to Rolls-Royce SME's for support and observations. Maintain and develop engine/component characteristic matrix support tools to enable quick response to customer queries. Provide local overview and guidance on the emerging facility design. Work closely with the Turkish Technic engineering and capability acquisition teams in the creation of suitable Technical Specifications for machinery and process equipment. As required support Turkish Technic with Technical discussions with the machinery OEM's, develop suitable SAT & FAT documents to ensure that the equipment meets the specification requirements.. As required support Turkish Technic with the installation planning, commissioning and final acceptance of the machinery and process equipment ready for operational approval. Be an advocate and implement links with the internal Rolls-Royce engineering teams for discussions on OP Compliance audits (NADCAP) Technical instruction planning a route cards, FAIr process, MVA Process, TV process, other appropriate technical documentation. Be an advocate and continually drive implementation of integration of Industry 4.0 principles into the equipment and the facility infrastructure ensuring a "Smart Factory" approach for data acquisition. Knowledge and user Experience of RRPS Technical & Management Modules. Previous Experience as WBS lead for the Engineering aspects of the FD&L process. Familiar with the relevant Health, Safety and Environmental law and regulations. Proficiency in management system standards and requirements such as FAIR, MVA, SABRe and NADCAP. High level understanding of the design, structure and functional characteristics of the Gas Turbine Engine. High level understanding of the physical & technical processes and equipment required during Dis-assembly and reassembly of both the Engine and Modules for the XWB and TRENT families. High level understanding of the physical & technical processes and equipment required during Component Inspection & Repair of components for the XWB and TRENT families. High level proficient user of RR Care technical manuals and engineering technical documents/systems EMP/PLM/TDMS/OMSD's. Ability to formulate technical guides and reports to aid in the creation and equipping of a Civil Large Engine Facility. Experienced user of AutoCAD products. Previous experience of working with Machine Tool OEM's on equipment Acceptance testing, Installation and Commissioning process such as; foundation's, lifting plans, compliance testing, CE marking and other HS&E requirements. Rapid problem diagnosis and development of technical resolution - being able to apply practical solutions to technical problems. Good communication and team working skills with an ability to develop and maintain strong interpersonal network and influencing skills to customer and external organisations.
