About the Role
As a Medical Assistant in our urgent care center, you’ll play a vital role in supporting patients through every step of their visit. This position blends hands‑on clinical work, patient interaction, and teamwork in a setting where no two days feel the same.
What You’ll Do
* Welcome patients, room them efficiently, and gather accurate medical histories and vital signs
* Assist providers with exams, procedures, wound care, testing, and treatments
* Perform CLIA‑waived lab tests, collect and prepare specimens, and maintain lab quality control
* Administer medications, injections, and vaccines under provider supervision
* Conduct EKGs, point‑of‑care testing, and other diagnostic support tasks
* Draw blood for labs as ordered
* Keep documentation complete, accurate, and timely
* Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for patient care
* Support smooth patient flow in a high‑volume environment
* Perform drug screens and provide patient education and follow‑up instructions
* Contribute as a collaborative, dependable member of the clinical team
* Follow all infection control, safety, and compliance standards
What You Bring
* Medical Assistant certification or relevant clinical training
* Experience in urgent care, emergency, or other fast‑paced settings (preferred)
* Strong organization, attention to detail, and calm under pressure
* Excellent communication and a compassionate, patient‑focused approach
* Positive, team‑oriented attitude
