Role Overview
Imagineers Group is supporting a leading financial services organisation in hiring a Technical Project Manager to join an in‑house technology team in Birmingham. This role focuses on software delivery across the SDLC and is ideal for a mid‑level to senior professional with strong application‑delivery experience. The focus is on platform and application change, not infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead delivery across the full software development lifecycle (requirements through release and post‑implementation)
* Partner with engineering, product, QA, and business stakeholders to deliver high‑quality technology outcomes
* Own delivery planning, milestones, dependencies, RAID, and status reporting
* Operate effectively within Agile and hybrid delivery models, applying appropriate governance and controls
* Support delivery of regulatory, data, and control‑driven initiatives within a financial‑services environment
* Communicate clearly with senior stakeholders and proactively manage risks and issues
Required Experience
* Demonstrated experience as a Technical Project Manager delivering application or platform development initiatives
* Strong understanding of SDLC processes and modern engineering delivery practices
* Experience working closely with software engineers, architects, and QA teams
* Strong stakeholder management, communication, and organisational skills
Advantageous Experience
* Background in financial services (banking, risk, regulatory, data, or control programmes)
* Exposure to regulatory change delivery or technology initiatives supporting compliance and risk
* Experience operating in large, complex, global organisations
Profile
* Hands‑on, delivery‑focused, and comfortable working in a highly governed environment
* Based in or able to work on‑site in Birmingham
* Available in January 2026
