Role Details
As an Upholsterer, you will be working the AM shift from 5:30am to 1:45pm, Monday to Friday. Your primary responsibilities will include upholstering various sofa frames to meet quality standards using foam, fibre, fabric, and leather. Working as part of a production line, you will:
* Assemble sofas using handheld power tools such as nail guns, ensuring production targets are met.
* Inspect components and materials, reporting any defects found.
* Upholster units or parts of units to specification using supplied tools.
* Ensure all fabric matching requirements are met.
* Drill and mark frames as required, adhering to specifications.
* Order sundries from production assistants as needed.
Skills And Experience Required
* Previous experience as an Upholsterer or in furniture assembly.
* Proficiency in using handheld power tools, including 'Air Pressure' tools.
* Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
* Knowledge of fabrics, leathers, and upholstery methods is advantageous.
