About the Role
We are seeking a reliable, proactive, and detailoriented Amenities & Office Cleaner to join our team at ABP York. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our offices, amenities, and shared spaces.
The ideal candidate will take pride in maintaining high hygiene standards, work independently, and deliver consistently excellent results.
Key Responsibilities
General Cleaning & Sanitation
* Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors (including carpeted areas).
* Dust furniture, fixtures, and fittings.
* Clean, disinfect, and maintain offices, restrooms, kitchens, and common areas.
* Ensure all surfaces meet hygiene and cleanliness standards.
Waste & Recycling Management
* Empty and replace waste and recycling bins.
* Dispose of waste safely and correctly.
* Segregate recycling materials into the appropriate waste streams.
Surface & Equipment Care
* Clean windows, glass panels, and sills as needed.
* Polish furniture and maintain appearance of surfaces.
* Clean and maintain cleaning equipment (e.g., vacuums, mops, cleaning solutions).
Stock & Supplies
* Replenish office, amenities, and washroom supplies including soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
* Monitor stock levels and report when supplies need replenishing.
Specialised Cleaning
* Perform periodic cleaning of areas or surfaces identified as requiring attention.
* Undertake deeper cleaning tasks as required.
Maintenance & Reporting
* Report any damages, hazards, or maintenance issues promptly to management.
* Follow all health, safety, and hygiene protocols.
Additional Duties
* Undertake any reasonable tasks requested by management that fall within the candidate's training and capabilities.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm (preferred)
Some flexibility may be considered for the right candidate.
Fulltime (40 hours per week)
Fixedterm contract - 1 year
