An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic psychotherapist to join the Adult Psychology Service. As part of the Dorset Adult Psychology Service you will work with other friendly and dedicated psychologists/therapists to provide specialist psychological services for Poole CMHT in Dorset.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide specialist psychological services for Poole CMHT in Dorset.
* Conduct complex assessments, formulation and delivery of appropriate highly specialised programmes of care, including psychological therapies.
* Provide specialised advice to clients, their families, carers and staff where appropriate.
* Consult and supervise other professionals within the wider multidisciplinary team.
* Support patients at Poole Community Mental Health Team who are also under the Adult Psychology Service.
* Engage and maintain relationships with clients, families, carers and other professionals, particularly where there are significant barriers to acceptance and engagement in psychological therapy.
* Develop highly specialised programmes of care and make judgments involving highly complex facts or situations, requiring the analysis, interpretation and comparison of a range of options.
Employment Details
* Fixed‑term post for one year, up to 19 hours per week.
* Based at Poole Community Mental Health Team, Alderney Hospital, Poole.
* Role offered on a secondment basis to those currently in NHS service; permission to be released on secondment must be obtained before applying.
* Employment requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of.
