Overview
It's an exciting time to join the team at AXA, with significant investment planned in all UK&I businesses to transform and deliver new digital services and streamline our processes. We’re looking for an IT Vendor Manager to join the team and lead, manage and develop key IT third-party relationships with suppliers, vendors and business partners via the UK IT vendor management office across the AXA UK and Ireland estate. Reporting to the Head of UK IT Vendor Management, you will work to ensure a seamless integrated service through a range of suppliers, both internal and external.
AXA supports flexible working arrangements. You’ll typically work away from home at least 40% of the time, increasing to 60% in the future. Away from home means attendance at office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. Details can be discussed with Talent Acquisition.
What you’ll be doing
* Develop and manage key IT third-party relationships to ensure partner offerings align with the IT strategy.
* Build effective relationships with UK procurement, the strategic partnership office, and legal teams.
* Lead regular strategic and operational vendor reviews to confirm contractual compliance and performance, identify improvement actions and opportunities to deliver value.
* Develop and agree with customers and IT the strategy and management plans for each vendor.
* Engage with relevant IT stakeholders to ensure due diligence and governance for onboarding, service introduction and ongoing management of vendors.
* Manage all aspects of the formal contract between vendors and AXA UK & Ireland (directly or via AXA UK Procurement as appropriate), including ongoing reviews, renewals, refinements and changes.
* Manage regulatory and risk processes for strategic IT partners to ensure compliance with AXA Group policy and FCA regulations for AXA UK & Ireland.
* Track and maintain the status of statements of work and work orders through development, execution, change and completion.
Qualifications & experience
* CIPs level 3/4 qualifications or equivalent supplier management experience.
* Excellent experience in developing and negotiating IT contracts, service level requirements and statements of work.
* Good awareness of IFC and other relevant legislation.
* Proven record in developing strategic relationships and driving win-win solutions to support innovation and competitive advantage.
* Ability to work collaboratively and influence multiple executive-level stakeholders.
* Experience developing a partner lifecycle approach and managing third parties both strategically and operationally.
* High commercial acumen and financial awareness, driving value for money, cost savings and avoidance.
* Experience dealing with IT vendors is highly desirable.
* Precondition: you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
