If you’re the kind of person who gets a buzz from fixing things and thrives in a fast-paced setting, this role could be for you. As a Maintenance Engineer you’ll join the nightshift team at Airways Optical in Southampton. You’ll be hands-on with mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems, carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance. You’ll be the go-to expert for keeping process critical equipment in top shape, working closely with production and engineering teams to make sure everything runs smoothly. You’ll also have the chance to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that make a real difference.
We’re looking for someone who’s completed an engineering apprenticeship and holds a minimum qualification of ONC, City & Guilds Level 3, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent. You’ll need to be confident diagnosing faults across a range of systems, and you’ll be flexible, resilient, and take pride in doing things to a high standard.
