Salary: £49,000 - £70,000 per annum
AWE is recruiting an enthusiastic and adaptable Project Manager to join the Infrastructure Projects team at our Aldermaston site. The role involves working on upgrades to site utilities, focusing on electrical infrastructure upgrades that underpin the resilience of our major new build portfolio.
This role offers a key opportunity to contribute to the future success of AWE. Location: RG7 4PR, with free onsite parking. Package: Starting at £49,830, depending on qualifications and experience. Working pattern: AWE operates a 9-day working fortnight, with flexible working options available.
Role Overview: As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards, in compliance with AWE processes. You may also apply your skills within nuclear programmes to support AWE's mission.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage projects focusing on governance, compliance, and reporting according to AWE's Linear Project Lifecycle processes.
* Manage project resources, including personnel and budget.
* Lead project planning, change management, risk and opportunity assessments.
* Engage with stakeholders across all levels and collaborate with various AWE functions.
* Manage contractors within NEC4 contract mechanisms.
Candidate Profile:
* Adaptable and capable, with a proven background in project management and delivery.
* Experience in managing electrical network upgrades is desirable.
* Ability to build effective relationships, interpret technical documents, and communicate clearly at all levels.
* Ability to work calmly in a dynamic environment, manage workload, and motivate teams.
