As a Hygiene Monitoring Technician, youll play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene at our Wrexham Plant. Supporting Project Aurora, youll be involved in key quality assurance activities such as environmental monitoring, cleaning validation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Youll work closely with the Verify & Improve Team to help ensure regulatory compliance, support operational excellence, and contribute to the success of our quality programmes. This is a site-based role at our Wrexham Plant, reporting directly to the Food Safety Execution Lead.
A Taste of What Youll Be Doing:
1. Swabbing for cleaning and pathogen verification: Carry out swabbing for pathogen verification and cleaning line validation (ATP, TVC, allergen, and pathogen testing) as part of Project Aurora.
2. Environmental monitoring support: Assist with routine and targeted Environmental Monitoring Program (EMP) swabbing activities.
3. Follow-up on non-compliance: Conduct vector and follow-up swabbing for any out-of-specification results across EMP, allergen, pathogen, and cleaning processes.
4. Sample registration and documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate registration files for lab testing and keep the internal sample register up to date.
5. Support for quality initiatives: Contribute to the implementation and ongoing delivery of the Golden 6 programme.
6. Continuous improvement contribution: Play an active role in enhancing the Verify & Improve programmes at the Wrexham Plant.
